The first phase, a 225,000-square-foot building, should be complete by year’s end, with two more phases to come, according to park officials.
In an email, future general manager Steve Palefsky said at the end of the first phase, the company will have a 6.8-million-cubic-foot freezer on 41 acres at the park. Palefsky is operations manager at the US Cold Storage plant in Tracy.
“The building will consist of three rooms, one large freezer, fully racked to over 20,000 pallet positions with two smaller convertible rooms (freezer or cooler) fully racked with over 5,000 pallet positions each,” he said. “The project was stalled earlier this year due to heavy rains and is now back on track with an estimated competition date for early December 2016.”
